Model "SM" series

Especially designed for High-speed, low cost extraction of water from washed work. Low set construction assumes easy loading and unloading, and three suspension columns reduce vibration to a minimum. Equipped with manual operated disc brake and electrically interlocked safety lid cover as standard.

Available with basket diameter from 22" to 42", dry weight capacity, 33 lb (16 kg) to 200 lb (92 kg)

general details

Basket: The basket is precision balanced for smooth operation at high speed. Slide sheet is perforated stainless steel, welded together at the meeting ends. Top rings made of a formed spun stainless steel, is secured to the side sheet with reinforced stainless steel bands. Bottom of basket is one-piece cast iron and covered on the top with spun stainless steel sheet. Phenol resin coated or rubber lined basket is available on request

Outer shell: Constructed of a stainless steel side sheet and top ring. The side sheet is welded together at their meeting ends and grooved in one piece cast iron bottom. Flange type gutter is fitted into the bottom casing as for the drain. Steel plate outer shell is available on request.

Drive: Driven by high torque, vertical motor, especially designed for fast acceleration with full load for rated number of starts per hour. All wiring to the motor and switches is enclosed in waterproof conduit.

Base and Suspension Columns: Three suspension columns are securely bolted to a channeled steel base plate and are arranged to an isosceles triangle shape. The entire outer shell holding drive unit and basket is supported by three steel suspension columns. Each suspension column contains a steel suspension rod and a spring. Both ends of the suspension rods are cushioned by heavy springs which provide mechanical snubbing action to help compensate for slightly out of balance loads.

Safety Lid Cover: A spun stainless steel cover is attached to the rear top of the ring with two cast iron hinges. A set of folding lock is providedf to the front of the cover to securely lock with top ring. When safety cover is raised, the limit switch is opened, breaking the electrical circuit to the motor. This makes it impossible to start the extractor unless safety cover is closed. Steel plate lid cover is available on request.

Brake: Manually operated disc brake is furnished.
